Asmaa is currently serving as the Partnerships Lead (maternity cover) for AFSEE. In this role, she leads AFSEE’s partnership strategy including internal collaborations within LSE, and external partnerships with other Atlantic programmes and organisations.
Her usual role is Programme Manager for Global Engagement and Impact for the Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity programme, where she oversees the lifelong fellowship strategy and programming. Her overarching aim is to ensure that AFSEE Senior Fellows are strongly connected to each other, the AFSEE programme, and the wider Atlantic community and have access to continuous learning.
Before AFSEE, Asmaa worked in LSE’s School of Public Policy, where she was the Communications, Events and Alumni Engagement Officer. She supported their three postgraduate programmes focusing on public administration and public policy. Prior to joining LSE in 2015, Asmaa worked at an educational research company which examined both national and international educational systems.
Asmaa completed her undergraduate degree in European Politics and her MSc in Ethnicity, Migration and Policy.
