This project explored the potential of digital participation tools to enhance public engagement in local governance. By focusing on South Africa’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP) process, the project examined the barriers and opportunities for technology-driven citizen participation while fostering discussions on responsible and inclusive digital governance.
