Our Fellowship
The Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity programme is a transformative experience that emphasises learning, connection and reflection. For both our Residential Fellows and our Non-Residential Fellows, the fellowship journey begins with an immersive year at the London School of Economics and Political Science, centred around key learning Modules. It is an intense and demanding year that requires full commitment from Fellows as they join a community that helps to support, challenge, and deepen their learning and practice.
APPLICATION DATES
Applications for the 2024-25 programme will open on Thursday 12 October.

Our fellowship programme offers two tracks: Residential and Non-Residential. Participants in both tracks participate in rigorous academic coursework, leadership and skills development, and practical approaches to fostering social change.

Fellowship is also a lifelong journey. At the end of their active fellowship year at LSE, Fellows will have the opportunity to build their engagement in the Atlantic Fellows global community, in the company of Senior Fellows from all seven Atlantic Fellows programmes around the world.
My experience at the fellowship has shown me how crucial collaboration is for addressing the major challenges we face today. Sharing knowledge and continuing dialogue with people committed to working for justice and equity gives me hope.
During my active fellowship year, I discovered a community of care, a space to build hope, and my Whānau - my extended family. The fellowship has completely changed my vision of the world and has given me the tools needed to challenge inequities.
The AFSEE Fellowship has highlighted the multiple facets of inequalities and how inequalities manifest differently for different people. My cohort’s lived experiences in fighting inequalities were particularly inspiring and renewed my motivation to keep pushing for inclusive, equitable, and decolonised development.
